SSL namely Secure Socket Layer is basically a protocol which ensures that any information or data packet you send is encrypted or secure. Sometimes information we send over internet may also be eavesdropped or say leaked; to protect it from leakage SSL concept is applied.

SSL Certificates are small data files that digitally bind a cryptographic key to an organization’s details. SSL is an acronym for Secure Sockets Layer. SSL provides a secure connection, allowing you to transmit private data online. Sites secured with SSL display a padlock in the browsers URL and possibly a green address bar if secured by an EV SSL certificate.

Buy SSL From comodo which is low cost and they are provided with high assurance. It features the strongest possible levels of encryption with dedicated customer support and unlimited server licenses.

SSL is an acronym for Secure Sockets Layer.SSL creates an encrypted connection between the web server and the visitor allowing for private information to be transmitted without the problems of eavesdropping, data tampering, and in a secured way.To enable SSL on a website, you will need to get an SSL Certificate that identifies you and install it on the server. The use of an SSL certificate on a website is usually indicated by a padlock icon in web browsers, indicated by a green address bar, changing the URL from http:// to https://.Online businesses use SSL certificates to secure their websites and allow their customers to place trust in them.

There are several service providers like Tucktail.com where the domain is validated, with best encryptying technologies.

Verisign is the most expensive SSL certificate because of brand name, insurance level, support etc. However it is not the best. I purchase DigiCert certificates from SSLGURU.com because they verify faster than any other CA (EV same day if you have all the paperwork), they provide great support and SSLGURU provides customers with a after market package that simplifies the management and renewal process.
